the science of the soul
here's a clip of nerina pallot playing the piano version of "sophia".
she's another really good musician whom i respect and admire.
her lyrics are not only poetic and beautiful, she is really talented at playing the piano as well.
most singers only play chords to accompany their singing but she plays so much more.
the way she is able to weave the melody, tempo and lyrics so perfectly and seemingly effortlessly simply amazes me.
when i watch her play, i can't help but hold my breath till she lifts her finger off the final note.
on top of that, she plays the guitar too.
as my cousin aptly put it, "argh. unfair."
agreed, but also, very much appreciated :)
