no one plays pranks on april fools' day anymore.
went to school today thinking that the crazy aussies might do something random but everything was so perfectly normal.
perhaps we have outgrown that child-like eagerness for foolish games on this day.
i remember looking forward to april fool's day with great anticipation and fear in primary school.
we would do all sorts of weird things to the teacher, like turn off the lights and hide under our tables, hide the whiteboard markers and dusters, or turn the hands of the clock an hour faster just to entertain ourselves.
when i was younger, i also remember buying 'magic tricks' cleverly disguised as sweets or stationary ' such as the disappearing eraser, or the chewing gum wrapper with a beetle which would clip your finger when you pulled out a stick of gum.
and without fail, someone would always bring a fart spray to class and spray it discreetly in the middle of a really boring lesson just to crack everyone up.
indeed, gone are the days when we did silly things without hesitation, inhibition or a care in the world.
before i end, just thought i'd leave everyone with a reminder of why we love the simpsons :)
